I'm loving this series of Irish wildflowers and working in the abstract! It's been challenging the way I think and work. Curious to see what it will bring to my oil works, as these are pretty exciting! What is the sound of foxgloves in Ireland you'd ask? Out in the areas I've traveled through County Kerry, you hear the weather, the ocean, cattle, sheep. The breeze may be soft off of the ocean, or it might be a bit wilder as it carries the sound- moves the flowers to their own rhythmic dance. The blossoms are the visual component to the other sensory elements surrounding you. The color and movement of the brush strokes take me back there.
